Richard Parker is a researcher in applied statistics and epidemiology, who has a particular interest in investigating change in health across time in people and populations.
He joined the Population Health Sciences division, here at the University of Bristol's Medical School, in 2017. Richard is currently working at the University of Bristol's Medical School where he continues to investigate how people's health changes over time. This includes trying to better understand why some people's health remains quite stable, whilst other people's health is more erratic.

Prior to that he worked in statistical software development and education, and as a Lecturer in Social Statistics and Quantitative Methods, at Bristol’s Centre for Multilevel Modelling.
His earlier background is in biology and psychology, and he's a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
