Carrie Chadwick has a BSc Hons degree in Biochemistry and a MSc in Clinical Biochemistry both from the University of Manchester. She completed her Clinical Scientist Training at South Manchester University Hospital Trust and Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
Carrie was appointed as a Principal Clinical Scientist at Aintree University Hospital and also at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in 2008, where she specialised in Neurobiochemistry and Neuroimmunology. She was appointed as Consultant Clinical Scientist and Laboratory Director at The Neuroscience Laboratories at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in 2013 after attainment of fellowship from the Royal College of Pathologists in 2012.
Carrie has a specialist interest in the analysis of neurobiochemistry and neuroimmunology biomarkers; she has also established a cerebrospinal fluid and blood bio bank, known as The Liverpool Neuroscience Biobank at The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust, which will be supporting the ToNIC and FiNDERS studies.
