Study resources for Healthcare professionals
As part of the FINDeRS study, the TONiC researchers have ethical permission to collect and analyse biosamples from people with MS and MND.
What is a biosample?
• blood samples, collected by blood draw from a vein
• urine sample
Study design
• The blood samples will be collected at your local TONiC study site and stored in a biobank.
• The genetic results will be linked to the completed TONiC questionnaire packs
• We would really like particpiants to be 'trilogies' and so if you will be invited to complete another TONiC pack if you have not already completed three packs.
Eligibility
• 18 or over
• Anyone registered with The TONiC study who has returned at least one, completed TONiC questionnaire pack, depending on current availability of funding for sample analysis.
What is a biobank?
• A collection of blood, urine, body-tissue or other body-fluids (collectively termed biosamples) stored as a resource for future research.
